Add File-Types / Extensions for search indexing service (Windows 11, 10)!

The solution to add File-Types / Extensions for search indexing service on Windows 10 and Windows 11!

You must be logged in as an administrator to add or remove file types to include in the index. 

In the indexing options, click Advanced and select an extension for the file type you want to include in the index and select the check box.  

Select Index Only Properties or Properties and File Contents to indicate how to index this file extension.

Index Only properties 

The metadata tags for this file are included in the index. For example, filename, date changed, author, etc. It will basically be what you see when you right-click on the file and click Properties and the Details tab (Rating, etc). 

Index properties and File Contents 

Same like "Index Only properties" as well as the contents of the file itself, if available. Example: The entire text in a text file. Attention! Not all file types contain text.
