2.) Conclusion: Remember paths that are not reachable!

There is more to Q-Dir than meets the eye. The hidden feature of being able to open external media or network drives that are currently unmounted via their path later greatly expands the flexibility and usability of this software. The fact that unreachable paths are stored in a hidden list may seem inconspicuous at first glance, but this functionality is extremely handy for users who frequently work with various external media.

The ability to easily and quickly access an unreachable path by right-clicking and using the "Refresh" button makes navigating through your files seamless, even if external media has been unmounted in the meantime. This elegant approach saves time and makes workflow much easier.

In addition to these handy features, Q-Dir also offers a "Mark All" feature that allows you to identify and mark identical file names at a glance in another window. This is especially useful when you are working with large file systems and need to quickly eliminate duplicates.

Overall, Q-Dir offers a powerful and intuitive file management solution that is suitable for both everyday use and demanding tasks. The combination of hidden features and user-friendly interface makes Q-Dir a recommended choice for anyone looking for an efficient way to organize and manage their files.

Questions for this:
  1. Since I work with data vaults, the following always happens to me: if I forget to open a vault before starting Q-Dir, all tabs that point to paths in the vault reset to the default path - which is a real hassle , if several tabs react like this. Would it be possible for Q-Dir to keep the path and just show an empty space or hint if the vault is closed? I could imagine that this function is also helpful for external media that are not yet connected. Only intended as a suggestion.
