2.) Does it make sense to test the second monitor for faulty pixels?

It can make sense to test the second monitor for faulty pixels. Even though monitors are usually inspected for such defects before being sold, problems can still occur, especially after prolonged use. Testing for faulty pixels can help identify potential problems early on and, if necessary, make warranty claims or make repairs before the situation worsens.

In addition, it can also be helpful to test the second monitor for faulty pixels if you notice that certain areas of the screen look unusual or if you notice glitches that could affect the image quality. A thorough test will allow you to identify these issues and act accordingly to ensure the optimal performance and quality of your monitor.

3.) Who tests for faulty pixels under Windows 11, 10, ... etc. what kind of users are they?

The users who test monitors for faulty pixels can include different groups:

1. Individuals:

Individuals who have purchased a new monitor or whose monitor is still within the warranty period could test their monitors for faulty pixels to ensure that they are working properly. This is especially important if the monitor is used for demanding tasks such as graphic design, photo editing, or gaming where high image quality is required.

2. Professional users:

People who work in professions that require accurate color reproduction and image quality, such as graphic designers, photographers, video producers, and image editors, could regularly test monitors for faulty pixels to ensure that their work is accurate and precise.

3. IT technicians:

Information technology professionals could test monitors for faulty pixels, either as part of their regular maintenance routines or when setting up new equipment for businesses or organizations.

4. Manufacturers and Distributors:

Monitor manufacturers and sellers can test monitors for defective pixels before selling them to ensure they meet quality standards. In some cases, they also offer warranties or return policies for monitors with defective pixels.

Overall, testing for defective pixels affects a wide range of users who either want to ensure image quality, extend the life of their devices, or deliver high-quality products to their customers.
