2.) The MFT for NTFS explained!

MFT stands for "Master File Table" and is an important part of the NTFS (New Technology File System) file system used by Microsoft for Windows operating systems. Here is a quick explanation of what MFT means in NTFS:

The MFT is a special data structure within the NTFS file system that contains information about all files and directories on a hard drive or storage device. It is similar to a directory that records a list of all files and directories, but in a very efficient and structured form.

The MFT contains metadata that stores information such as file name, size, attributes, access rights, and location for each file or directory. This information is used to manage, access and restore files.

The MFT is divided into smaller units called MFT entries. Each MFT entry represents a file or directory on the hard drive. As files are created, deleted, or changed, the NTFS file system updates the MFT accordingly.

The MFT is an important part of the NTFS file system because it forms the basis for managing files and directories. A corrupted MFT can lead to serious file system problems. For this reason, the MFT is typically mirrored in multiple locations on the disk to ensure integrity.

Overall, the MFT in NTFS is an essential part that enables the organization and management of files and directories on Windows operating systems.
