1.) But what is the difference between Windows and Windows NT!

A major difference between Windows and NT is that Windows was still based on a DOS version, while NT only emulated DOS. As a result, old DOS software can no longer run under Windows 11, 10, ....

Under Windows 7, 8.1, (also NT) only DOS software is partially executable if it uses standard functions. Direct access to hardware leads to non-functionality.

The latest NT systems are based on 32-bit / 64-bit operating systems, these can only run 32-bit / 64-bit software! Old, pure 16-bit programs can no longer be run at all, and there is no longer downward compatibility!
