x32 is just a name that was introduced by Microsoft, which usually does not exist.
Meant but are all x86 processors, which are 32-bit. The first x86 processors were 16-bit processors.
The x86 architecture is named after the processors of the 8086 or 8088 series introduced by Intel in 1978. It was a 16-bit microprocessor.
In 1978 there was the "286" PC :-), also known as 80286 with 32-bit protected mode!
In 1990, the names were added:
"86 SX", "86 DX", also 32 Bit processors. Such as the 386DX , or the 386SX .
I doubt, though, that Windows 10, 8.1, 7 would run on a 286, 386, or 486, even though it's seen as x32 (32-bit processors). On the 386 ran the Windows 3.0 and on the 486/586 the Windows 95/98.
It can be seen, however, that all these processors in the name end with "86" . Ergo 86 series (-: !
