How to change the 7-Zip context menu to English, Windows 11, 10, ...?


It is quite easy to change the 7-zip context menu from German to English if it is not in English by default, but in Chinese or so!



First of all, important!
7-Zip can be downloaded for free from this page. Recently, 7-Zip authors have been receiving more and more complaints about companies that offer the program for download for a fee. ►  . .. Download 7-ZIP !

1.) Change 7-Zip to Englisch on Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7, ....!

You can open the 7 Zip directly when the version is installed, so this example is for all Windows operating systems!

The 7Zip directory can be opened with the following commands!

C:\Program Files\7-Zip  or  shell:ProgramFiles/7-Zip   as well as  %ProgramFiles%/7-Zip

You can open these via the Windows Run dialog or the Microsoft File Explorer address bar !

In the 7-Zip program folder, simply start the 7zFM.exe file ( double-click ) and simply open the 7-Zip options via the "Tools" menu. 

Now you can easily switch the language, for example from Chinese, ... to English

2.) Change 7-Zip to German Windows XP / 7 / Vista!

Change the 7-Zip context menu to German
Start the 7-Zip File Manager
via "Start" > "Programs" > "7-7ip" > "7-7ip File Manager" .

In the "7-7ip File Manager" go to "Extras" >> "Options", if it is in English, go to "Tools" >> "Options" .

Then the last register bar see (Image-3) and switch to German in the selection field.

This works with Window 10 8.1 and Windows Seven.

3.) Create a desktop shortcut for the 7 Zip file manager!

From the ► 7-Zip program folder, simply save the 7zFM.exe file on the desktop with the right mouse button and select the shortcut option
