How to calculate the IsMyHdOK, SSDs or HDDs benchmark points?
It was a hard decision for me, to define the benchmark points values for IsMyHdOK
for Windows 12, 11, 10, ... etc. and MS Server OS.
But here is the answer :-)
The sequential read and write MB per second = 1 point. The other 3 values (4 K random, 512 K random, and 4K64QD)
0.33 points for each MB/sec, because these measurements are very related.
For the access time, there are no bonus points, because these affect to all last 3 values.
The total benchmark points is read + write :-)
Here in the example for my Samsung SSD 840 - 250
Read
493+ (26+419+297)*0.33 =
742
Write
210+ (58+145+137)*0.33=
324
Total
1066
I have long thought about it and at the same time not completely devalue the standard HD versus SSD.
