Percentage display usage overview of the partitions in Q-Dir or in MS File Explorer?
I activate an overview of the partition usage in Q-Dir which is identical to that in MS File Explorer. This answer is valid for Windows 10, 11, 12 and MS Server!
2. To make the partition usage display visible, proceed as follows:
- Right-click on the column header (e.g. "Name", "Size").
- In the context menu, select the option Add Columns or directly select "Size" and "Free Space" .
- Now you can see the absolute size and free space of the partitions as numerical values.
3. A graphical bar display of the usage (e.g. horizontal and colored) is currently not natively available in Q-Dir. For advanced views, however, you can activate the percentage display for free and used storage areas
: - Go to the settings under Tools > Options and adjust the view accordingly.
💡 Tip: In the standard view of Q-Dir, all partitions are displayed the same regardless of their size. This cannot currently be dynamically adjusted to display absolute size differences (such as a 500GB partition vs. a 1TB partition) proportionally.
