Automatically save the current session in Q-Dir favorites?
Question: I often work with favorites in Q-Dir and open additional tabs. When I switch to another favorite and then return, the newly opened tabs are gone. Do I have to manually save and overwrite the favorites each time? Is there an option to automatically save the current session to the active favorites?
Answer:
Unfortunately, there is currently no auto-save function that saves the current session directly to the active favorites. But there are two practical solutions that can help you:
The quad file explorer Q-Dir allows you to create workspaces with specific settings and tabs. You can save these workspaces so that all tabs and window arrangements are saved in a single file. This makes it easier to restore your preferred workspace.
The "Duplicate Q-Dir (Clone)" function allows you to create an exact copy of the current Q-Dir window. All tabs, folder structures and settings are retained. This method allows you to continue working with an identical file environment in a separate window.
