1.) Desktop shortcut for Windows scan and fax.

1. Press the key combination [Windows Logo + D] to see the win 8.1 desktop!

2. By right mouse click on a free position, a selection menu appears,

3 click on new and shortcut, in the first window, enter the command:
%windir%\system32\WFS.exe, or C:\Windows\system32\WFS.exe.

4. And the name for the shortcut in the second window,
PS: you can use for shortcut name Windows Fax & Scan, or simply the acronym WFS!

3.) Fax function and scan via W8 start search, at start or the desktop task-bar!

Please press the keyboard shortcut [Windows logo + S], in the start search box simply enter the letters WFS.

You will then see Windows fax and scan. Now you can open a selection menu by right clicking on this and directly putting the Windows fax and scan at Windows 8.1 Start or at the desktop task bar!

4.) Fax and scan in the Quick Launch bar on Windows 8.1 Desktop!

If you don't have set up the quick launch (quick launch) in Windows 8.1:
... activate Quick launch in Windows 8 / 8.1 taskbar!

Open the Quick Launch folder and repeat the procedure in the Quick Launch folder:
