What is Windows?


Windows is Microsoft Windows, affectionately referred to as just Windows or Win, it is an operating system equipped with a graphical interface !



Windows was developed and published by Microsoft and is constantly being expanded and improved since the first Microsoft Windows version, which was launched in 1983 with version 1.0. The current version is Windows 11 / 10, Microsoft chose “Windows” as the name due to the multiple windows that allow different tasks and programs to be run simultaneously/in parallel.

The current Windows 11 has many new features that were first introduced with Windows 8, in addition some of the main features have been completely revised and rethought!

Starting with Windows XP, Microsoft released different editions of Windows. Each of these MS Windows editions has the same operating core, but the higher editions have additional features. The two most popular editions of Windows for home computers are Windows Home and Windows Professional.
