2.) Why is it so with FAT on Microsoft Windows 11, 10, ... operating systems?
The FAT is the simplest of the file systems supported by Windows NT. The properties of the FAT file system are based on a "file allocation table".
This is a table located at the beginning of the disk / partition. At the time, it was not necessary to log current documentation of the file modification time, so there is no option to make this entry with the time!
To date, I have Windows PowerShell, which also offers three commands to achieve what I want. the date of creation, the last access and the last change can be adjusted, but this freeware is much better, if I also want to change the information for a folder it is also possible.
I have an external hard drive (portable) FAT32. So far I have only operated this on Windows 10 and Windows 7. Why can't I change the file time in the Last Access entry? Is this an error in the program or have I done something wrong, on the local hard drive c: \ of Win-10 is the time at which the entry "Last access" can be changed?
I want to manipulate date of files and folders in Windows on Windows 10, occasionally I want to adjust the date of files created at a later time?
The best Windows 10 freeware tool to manipulate files and folders, just great.
I suspected that some private files on my PC would be opened by unauthorized persons. I wanted to change the last file time with the help of NewFileTime but the time is not changed, what am I doing wrong?
By default, Windows Explorer only shows the change date for files and folders, is there a date by attribute change tool, to make attributes more convenient, a graphical user interface and shell extension in the context menu of Windows Explorer?
In my case, I would have to change "Last access on ...", I put a check mark and it has already been changed for each file, when it was last accessed and everything was OK. This nice feature is good but the time doesn't change, why?
