What does VSync mean?

VSync stands for vertical synchronization, this ensures that the graphics cards only update the picture when the screen is ready.

So it is always waited until the last picture has been completely displayed on the screen, it is known as a screen frequency of 60, 100, ... Hertz, so the graphics card does not draw unnecessary intermediate pictures that cannot be displayed on the screen anyway!

Incidentally, you save a lot of computing time on the CPU and the GPU because senseless calculations do not take place and you have hardly any advantages if you deactivate it in 3D, 2D games, for example, only with weaker graphics cards there can be an advantage!
