- Make sure the correct file types (e.g. .jpg, .png) are entered there. If not, you can add entries manually.
2. Repair the installation:
Make sure no system files are corrupted. Run a system file check:
- Open Command Prompt as administrator (right-click the Start menu and select "Command Prompt (Admin)").
- Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Wait for the scan to complete.
4. Faulty updates or system problems
Windows updates or system errors may affect the functionality of Windows Photo Viewer.

- Check for available Windows updates and install them.
- Restart your computer to rule out temporary issues.
5. Use alternative image viewers
