How do I check my hardware under Windows?

There are several ways to check your PC's hardware specifications in Windows. Here are some easy methods:

1. Use system information (msinfo32)
2. Via the task manager
3. Directly in the Windows settings
4. With the DirectX diagnostic tool (dxdiag)
5. With the device manager
6. Is this also possible under Windows 12, 11, 10?

1.) Use system information (msinfo32)

1. Press `Win + R`, type `msinfo32` and press `Enter`.
2. The "System Information" window will open, which contains all the important hardware details (processor, RAM, BIOS version, graphics card, etc.).

2.) Via the Task Manager

1. Press `Ctrl + Shift + Esc` to open Task Manager.
2. Switch to the "Performance" tab - here you can see CPU, RAM, GPU, disk and network usage.

3.) Directly in the Windows settings

1. Open the settings with `Win + I`.
2. Go to System → About – here you will find information about the processor, RAM and Windows version.

4.) Using the DirectX diagnostic tool (dxdiag)

1. Press `Win + R`, type `dxdiag` and press `Enter`.
2. In the window you will see details about the processor, RAM, graphics card and sound.

5.) Using the Device Manager

1. Press `Win + X` and select Device Manager .
2. Here you can display individual components such as processor , graphics card and drives .

6.) Is this also possible under Windows 12, 11, 10?

Yes, all the methods mentioned above work equally well on Windows 12, 11 and 10. There are no major differences in the procedure as Microsoft has kept the basic system tools the same across the last few Windows versions.

If there are any changes in Windows 12, I will update the guide accordingly.
